Providing Concert Production For LouFest
Ironman Sound Industries is no stranger to managing production at concerts. So when LouFest founder Brian Cohen needed someone with the experience and expertise to run the event for him, he turned to ISI.
Coming Up With Solutions At The Spring Arbor Concert
Though based in St. Louis, ISI will provide turnkey solutions for productions across the country. In this case, the Spring Arbor Concert in Spring Arbor, Michigan. For this event, the stadium where the concert was to be held was not designed for concerts so ISI event coordinator Nick Barnes had to come up with a solution to provide sound clearly and evenly to the audience. In the end, ISI rigged up Martin Audio W8LCs in a six box hang, set up loudspeakers with six Martin Audio W8LCs a side with four WSX subs ground-stacked beneath them, Midas Verona and Sienna consoles, and Lab Gruppen PLM amps. To get the best sound to the audience, Martin Audio Viewpoint software was used to calculate the pitch of the speakers and adjust them accordingly. The end result was a happy client, happy band, and happy concert-goers!
Supporting Sammy Hagar’s Sold-Out Concert
When Sammy Hagar played a sold-out show in St. Louis, ISI was there to provide the support! Familiar with the Maryland Heights Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, ISI used their Martin Audio rig with 32 W8LCs for the main hang, 24 W8LMs for out fill, 4 W8LMDs for front fill and 24 WSX subwoofers. The end result was, according to ISI president Bob Horner, “One of the best shows I saw this year.”
